Recipe #66

Pan Fried Tofu Shirataki Pepper Pasta with Shrimp and Pan Seared Black Pepper Steak

steak and shirataki noodles

Serves 2
Noodles Preparation
1 8oz package tofu Shirataki spaghetti shaped noodles, washed and drained according to package directions
5-7 different peppers (different colors and sizes), washed and dried with cores removed
4-5 cloves of garlic
salt and pepper to taste
coconut oil spray
½ and 8oz package of sliced mushrooms
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Place all peppers in a food processor with garlic, salt, and pepper. Process until a little chunky then remove. Strain all liquid from mixture. I use a paper towel to press out all the liquid. Let strain until most of the liquid is removed.

Separately spray a pan with coconut oil and bring to medium heat. Add mushrooms and saute until golden brown. Add dried peppers and continue to saute until they become a little translucent. Add the Shirataki spaghetti shaped noodles and continue to saute a few more minutes. Add Italian seasoning. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Steak Preparation
2 cuts filet Mignon (about 8-10oz pieces)
Pepper
Salt
coconut oil spray
roasted black sesame seeds

Rub pepper on both sides of meet until full coated. Sprinkle salt on both sides. Spray a pan with coconut oil and bring to medium heat. Sear both sides of meat for about 4-5 minutes or until browned. This will produce medium rare. For a more well done steak place pan with steak in oven covered for additional 10-12 minutes on bake at 350 degrees. Remove from heat and let cool. Then thinly slice to serve.

For shrimp preparation I used this same recipe from Recipe #64 except minus the mushrooms. Then used this on top of the steak for garnish. Top with roasted black sesame seeds.
